We were fortunate to find Designer Eco Tiny Homes as we had a unique problem and they had unique solutions. Our family had just extended with the arrival of a grand-daughter, and we needed to be able to accomodate her along with my son and daughter-in-law. Living in a bushfire prone area of Sydney we had absolutely no chance of doing the renovations we would need, so were actually considering moving till we happened on the idea of a Tiny Home. Because we already had some living space available in a converted large garage/storage area, we had our tiny built to be sleeping/eating/washing/bathing and not so much around living area. That has given us sleeping for 5 in a proper bedroom with a queen, a loft with a queen and another with a single. We have full laundry facilities and a quite large galley kitchen.
Despite constant changes, colour matches and so forth we never had any response other than yes from Grant and the team. We visited the factory a couple of times and found the whole team extremely friendly and accomodating, even when it was “rip that one out, we need to do it another way now”.
Grant’s experience as a builder shows…these are not cookie-cutter “sheds” but scaled down houses with the finish you’d expect from a first class outfit.
Shout out too to Marc who delivered the tiny to our quite difficult site, and made the finish as positive as the start.
I cannot speak more highly of this company, safe yourself a lot of hassle and go direct to them, and don’t even think through your design too much first either, as it’s not till you see what they can do that you really know what you should be looking for. 5 out of 5
I honestly could not be happier with the result of my tiny house build with Build Tiny, I’d have to say the whole process has been one of the best experiences I have had. From my very first contact with them, right until delivery they were such a pleasure to work with. My build took place during such an uncertain time with covid, with supply delays and covid level changes and all the madness that was so out of anyone’s control, and they were so communicative of everything that was going on, updating me daily at times. Amy does an amazing job as the liaison for the team, she’s so easy to talk to, it was always exciting to get a call or an email during the build. I work in a creative industry so I came into the build knowing I wanted to do something unique. The design process with Karen was so easy and fun and the whole team was so welcoming and enthusiastic of all of my crazy ideas and did an amazing job bringing them to life. They even couriered me the bathroom door mid build so that the mural could be painted and ready to be installed for the finished build. So much care was taken in the small design elements, from the angle of the windows to the negative detailing, everything just lines up and flows and the house is such a comfortable space to work in or relax. I have since filled it with plants and my dog loves that she has her own door and little set of stairs. One day I’d love to add a second tiny house, so I’ll be back!

Right from the moment when we called into their workshop and Jane gave us a guided tour of the tiny homes under construction we were so impressed. We loved the light and airy tiny homes on display. They were so well designed and the quality of workmanship was obviously high. The camaraderie amongt the workers appeared really high too, another very good sign.
Once we placed our order Grant kept us fully informed of the progress being made (including great photos). Any little change we wished to make was quickly accommodated. The first 3 days living in Babbalucci were quite different, then it soon got the feeling of home, now after a month it’s great, I love it. When I first had the idea and went to see Gina and the 6 houses in various stages of being built at tiny build I felt confident they would do a good job. I wasn’t disappointed. I sat down with Gina and worked out were I envisaged the stairs, the lounge and cabinetry, a double bi-fold door for summer entertaining. The type of loo, I chose a composting, and it works well, no odours and the tank only needs swapping every 6 months. The craftsmanship and craftswomanship on the finished cabinets is absolutely 1st class, all made on site. I did look at some lesser quality homes, by other builders, but personally I would always find fault in them if I had bought one. To sum it up I’d say go for it, you won’t regret it. By the way i’m not being payed for this, but i’m sure I could score a free beer at Friday night drinks. Once again thank you, Ken De Falco

We got Gina to design our Tiny House over the first lockdown with all the best intentions that we would then take away her epic design and build it ourselves with our extensive 3 day tiny house building course experience.
